hit40uk v Smash! Hits Chart v A List Chart
Recent changes:
04/03/06: Aside from hit40uk,
SH and previously non-chart stations now
taking the A-List: The Bay switches from
SH to hit40.
Dee 106.3 now taking a locally produced chart show and ditches
SH.
06/03/06: OAK 107, Centre FM, Touch 102 and Touch 96.2 all
switched from SH to
hit40uk since yesterday. Unconfirmed which
chart show Banbury's Touch 107.6 took - Update: one report received, station now
placed in hit40 list.
08/03/06: Quay fm and BCRfm no longer taking hit40uk from this Sunday, and will instead take locally-produced programming. Removed from list.
19/03/06: Sunshine 855 have failed to take the Smash Hits! Chart
for at least the last 4 Sundays, seemingly due to technical problems. The
station have announced that they ARE still officially taking the show.
26/03/06: Real Radio Digital not found to be airing
A-List chart this Sunday: has the station EVER
taken the show? Sunshine 855 airing silence once again. Central FM has been taking hit40uk
since 5th March. hit40uk map now updated.
31/03/06: According to
Somethin'
Else, hit40uk is to be broadcast to
USA and Canada via XM satellite radio, and to Europe, Africa, the Middle East
and Asia on WorldSpace's AfriStar and AsiaStar satellites via subscription music
channel "U-Pop".
02/04/06: Star 106.6 now switched from Smash Hits!
to hit40uk.
Time 107.5 and The Saint now taking local programming. Passion 107.9 now taking
a locally-presented version of the Smash Hits!
Chart. Maps to be updated. Sunshine 855 still airing silence.
03/04/06: Smash Hits! Chart was
having distribution problems yesterday, explaining why certain stations were not
taking the show. Station lists reverted. Time 107.5 still expected to have
ditched the chart.
06/04/06: hertbeat FM to take A-List chart from this Sunday. Map not yet updated. Upop schedules around the world: XM, Worldspace AfriStar, Worldspace AsiaStar.
10/04/06: hertbeat FM added to A-List

23/04/06: The Saint no longer taking Smash Hits! Chart? (TBC)
30/04/06: The Saint confirmed to have stopped taking Smash Hits! Chart
two weeks ago - map to be updated.
26/06/06: Smash Hits Radio seemingly no longer taking the
SH Chart since a few weeks ago - removed from
list. Holiday FM possibly no longer taking hit40uk.
Awaiting confirmation.
29/06/06: 99.9 Radio Norwich launched today, and will begin taking
A List from this Sunday - map to be updated.
02/09/06: New station for Swindon 107.7 Brunel FM will begin taking
A List from this Sunday - map to be updated.
08/09/06: Relaunched vibe fm stations Kiss 101 and Kiss 105-108 to take
the Smash Hits Chart from this Sunday.

16/09/06: 106.5 The Severn and 107.1 The Severn launch in Shrewsbury and
Oswestry, respectively this Monday, and will be airing the
A-List from the following Sunday. (Map to be
updated)
06/10/06: Rotherham's Rother FM launches on Sunday 15th October, and will
be airing hit40uk. (Map and list to be
updated)
13/10/06: STAR Radio (Stroud), taker of A-List,
has ceased broadcasting. Manx Radio has not been taking
hit40uk since a while ago (anytime between last
Sunday and March). Garrison Radio no longer taking SH
Chart. TIME 106.6 taking A-List Chart
since 24th September. All lists updated, final maps to be
drawn ready for.... FRESH 40! Yes,
Fresh 40 starts on the 22nd October. Amongst
the takers of the show will be Kiss, Galaxy and FM107.9. All other EMAP stations
will take hit40uk. As a result, this Sunday
will be the last day the Smash! Hits Chart
will air. Also amongst the stations reported to be taking
hit40uk from the 22nd are Kingdom FM and 3FM
(providing the return of hit40uk to the Isle
of Man). A new page will be created in time for the Big Chart Sunday and
this page will remain archived with snapshots of 15th October.
15/10/06: TIME 106.6 was actually still airing SH Chart, but will most
likely be taking A-List from next week.
Rother FM did NOT take hit40uk on launch
day, but will do so from next week. Lists updated again. Snapshot maps to be
updated and finalised later in the week.
16/10/06: Maps and lists now updated and finalised. Standby for
hit40uk v The A List v Fresh 40 !
26/10/06: BCRfm taking hit40uk since
17th Sept. Added to 'finalised' list and map.
